We are a really small business, so we have smaller goals, but I think that works well for us since it will take a while to make our vision (the future) the mission (the now). But breaking any broad goals into achievable steps is a good way to go. I'd also think about when and where incorporating feedback internally and feedback externally makes sense.

SMART criteria is very important to set our goals ...because if one criteria not achievable the other will be not achievable too So it is important to set achievable goals to get our success

I set up regular meetings with all of my team members that interface with the public. We usually talk about how things are going (personally and professionally) and how we can improve their experience in their role, but also their effectiveness. In addition, we also talk to a set of customers on a regular basis so we can improve our product, improve our delivery, and our service. We also do cultural research which helps in better understanding people from our customer base.

First of all, the organization/company has to have a clear strategic goal to set a vision & mission to be followed by each department. In order to achieve the company goal, the customer support team has to set w clear plan with clear steps , frame time for each step, monitoring, evaluating & do any needed enhancement through the process. Then the leader will have a clear goal to be communicated with his/her team & clear KPI’s as well that will facilitate a part of his/her job, that besides follow up meeting, coaching, recognitions & clear feedback to the team/employee on the strength areas & areas need improvement. last but not least, being supportive to your team and treating them as your first class customer will be a good role model.

One of the critical parts of business is understanding what can change in order to improve and achieve a common goal. Feedback is the avenue to learning and self awareness, whereas recognition becomes the highway to good habits, high quality and consistency. I love to see more awareness of support and communicative leadership in the workplace.

One thing I've found really helpful is fostering open communication where team members feel comfortable to share their ideas, concerns and feedback. By discussing ongoing challenges, successes and opportunities for improvement with the team, it helps to foster an efficient customer service environment. In organizations where team members' input is valued, you create a more effective and customer-centric team.

Don’t be afraid to jump in to resolve an issue directly for the customer and your team member, even if it is technically the team member’s job. If a customer escalates up to you as a leader, it may be because the team member lacks the specific experience needed to address the customer’s issue. By handling the issue directly for the customer, you gain a better understanding of exactly what the situation was and why it occurred in the first place. It is vitally important then, that you have a productive and supportive conversation about the situation with the team member afterwards. Prepare the team member for similar situations going forward. Set the expectation that the team member will handle any similar issues going forward.

For me leadership accountability starts with understanding that every single interaction with an employee, peer, customer, vendor or colleague is an experience that creates beliefs about the culture of your operation. You as the leader are responsible for demonstrating trust and mutual respect to everyone you interact with. Lead by example and treat people the way you would want them to treat you in any situation.

Once people understand their role and why it matters focus on helping them feel psychologically safe, included, autonomous, recognised and that their ambitions matter - easy really. Be consistent, don;t panic and most importantly, try not to be a dick, even if people higher in your organisation behave badly - call them out if you can and role model better.

In fostering a positive culture, asking questions like "How can I...?", "How would you like...?" are very important ways to make sure that your team members feel recognized and heard. Because inherent in human nature is their desire to be recognized and heard. Asking the individual team member how they would like to receive praise, encouragement, criticism and the likes goes a long way to build a positive culture, as there's no one size fits all regarding these things.

In my personal experience, jokes on the job and making sure your team understands that job is not everything is a very good way to increase your team’s engagement. Obviously, you can’t do it with everyone (some people feel uncomfortable), but when people feel comfortable around their leaders, they tend to take that respect also in the quality of the work they do.

We have a mix of experienced employees and young professionals, so all perspectives get a chance to be heard. The best idea wins regardless of race, background, religion, age, or the overall performance of the individual. I personally thought I knew a lot about comics and social media, but my team has taught me a lot. In addition, I thought I understood a lot about the communities I served, but I am realizing there is so much more to learn. And you just cannot thrive without being open to being wrong and failing. You miss all the shots you don't take.

A saying I came up with to instill a customer-centric approach in my teams is "Don't turn today's customers into tomorrow's competitors." While learning from others that you wish to emulate can be fantastic, I've always felt that learning from others with whom you had a bad experience can be equally, if not more so, useful. If you have a poor experience at a business, you may find yourself thinking of all the ways you'd do it better or differently, and some people might just go out and make it happen. So don't create a competitor out of a customer, give them an experience so good that they leave feeling that there is no way they could provide that same level of service.

Learnings can come from anyone you interact with. I am constantly learning from my team members and will tell them when it happens. I want them to understand that they are contributing to everyone on the team, myself included.

We are a new business so we have to embrace change. If you are able to make something radically different and flow the trends you'll wipe out in the first year of business. We have not because we have incorporated change and feedback into the core of our business. The team is at the center of it is paid pretty well--all things considered.

The best way to ensure change in processes is actually applied is to be open about why the change is happening in the first place and being open to feedback about it. If agents do not understand why some change is important, they're unlikely to adhere to the new rules. Using simple example, we want to change the greeting at the start of the call. Agents who worked for years do it as a habit, so in order to change they need that extra bit of passion towards the new greeting. You can achieve that by explaining the logic behind the change thoroughly, and before implementing discussing it with agents, asking if they have any other ideas. If the collective deeply understands why and feels like they were part of the change, transition is easier

I think it's extremely to give feedback up and down the chain. I always open the floor for my interns, employees, and contractors to give me feedback on the process and resources provided. We also get feedback from our potential customers regularly.

More than often, a service employee delivers what the company or organization wants them to deliver to their clients - but the best service players are usually those who does it sincerely, and when feels good that they have helped resolve a challenge or uncertainty the client is facing. Sadly many of these encounters does come with a burst of negative emotions from a worked up client, so all the more those delivering services should try understand and be proud that at the end of the encounter, they made someone’s day a lot better! For some, this could even mean a life changing moment!
