Para mi y con los equipos que he trabajado separamos el abastecimiento de la negociación, una vez realizada la negociación y definida las condiciones, como precio, cantidad, tiempos de respuestas, etc..se baja la información al área de abastecimiento y su función principal es la logística (Activar y seguimiento con el proveedor, coordinar transporte, almacenes, maquinarias, permisos, etc)y exigir el cumplimiento de las condiciones negociadas. Para esto es sumamente necesario que abastecimiento conozca al proveedor con sus capacidades y condiciones, su canal de comunicación, punto de contacto y tiempos de repuesta.

Lo importante es entender en que industria o rubro estas operando, por ejemplo si compras un repuesto para un avión de pasajeros o carga, el proveedor debe estar certificado y aprobado por la FFAA, EASA, el repuesto debe tener traceabilidad, certificado, sus actualización, si es un repuesto usado no debe haber estado involucrado en un accidente, guerra, etc, el nivel de exigencia es mayor en todos los sentidos y el check list se debe cumplir.
