La validación de datos al igual que los sistemas de gestión se comportan como la dirección de proyectos, estan compuestos por 5 fases: Iniciación, Planificación, Ejecución, Monitoreo y Cierre. La primera fase de iniciación hace referencia a la realización de un diagnóstico inicial que nos permita conocer a detalle la situación actual para luego avanzar; es decir, una comprensión del contexto para poder obtener nuestra línea base.

Hace 11 a?os en la implementación de un programa de seguridad del paciente en una clínica, necesitábamos conoce que tanta cultura de calidad habia, levantando las líneas bases del proyecto a través de métricas referentes al tipo de incidentes clínicos y eventos adversos ocurridos, lo que permitió que eventos de seguridad ocurrían para poder dise?ar estrategias de intervención y minimización de riesgos. Al final en la fase de cierre se repitió la medicion y sorpresa el número de eventos aumentó y eso no quería decir q éramos una institución insegura, sino que gracias a una buena validación de datos pudimos ahondar en el problema y entender que al principio nuestra cultura era casi nula y al final la gente adoptó una cultura de reporte.
