What is the best way to demonstrate classroom management experience?

It’s important to define what your strategy is going to be for behavior management. Firstly, I have all the students come up with the rules and then have them sign it. This type of contract teaching makes the children stakeholders and following them. The other approach that I use is to try and use positive reinforcement. It’s all the students that I want to catch them during the Wright thing. To do this, I create individualized charts for them to put their stickers. If I catch them doing something right, and put a sticker on their hand. This way they can also keep a track of their points. Every five stickers they get to go into a prize box.

Quality and engaging instruction will alleviate 99% of your discipline issues. If you love teaching and have a passion for delivering content to students, you can make up for a lot of the so-called science of classroom management. Also, ensuring you are stepping into the classroom in a good frame of mind to work with children is important. If you don't know your content, don't understand effective instruction, and don't want to be at work, then setting expectations and all the other recommended classroom strategies don't work. The best teachers I have seen didn't read classroom management books. You aren't "managing student behaviors;" you are facilitating learning.

At the start of the school year, I empowered students to shape our classroom community. Classroom Management is key in order to plan for anything and everything. Be organized. Build trust with students , as well as being consistent , and treating the students with respect.

I keep folders on each of the students. In each folder I keep a track of their testing scores. I also post a chart showing their progress from one indicator to the next. This way they can look up and see their progress. I use this also when I am meeting with parents, so that I can show each students growth. I also keep a running record of children’s behavior. I warn students that if after I put a post note on the desk as a warning of their behavior, if they get three “x” marks,then they get Ritzen up. Then, if I have to contact their home, I can refer to what I wrote them up about.

I tried to use humor as much as possible. I will try and make light of the situation, but of course, not ever embarrassing any of my students. I tried to laugh about a situation with the students, but in a way where I’m making fun of myself. or I’ll use mantras, such as explaining to them that there are no toys in the classroom, that we only have tools. No know that this means that there are no toys in the classroom but we only have tools for learning. I also have a mantra for the kids when they go in the hallway where they understand that they have to walk silently.these types of mantras help the students understand what my expectations of them are.
