White balance is my go-to tool for quickly and effectively eliminating color cast. My preference is to manually adjust the white balance by aiming a color picker at a white or neutral tone in the scene. Everything just falls into place naturally.

2 Color correction tool

Mostly I use Nik Collection Color Efex or Luminar Neo. You can also use Lightroom but I feel that Color Efex gives the best rsult.

I have often found a color checker to be essential for achieving complete colour accuracy. There's nothing like having a standardized tool as a reliable reference. It takes human error out of the process.

When working from a tripod I like to take a lens cast calibration shot with the Phase One plate for use in Capture One. I also often create unique profiles for the lighting conditions using the Calibrate Colour Checker digital SG when colour accuracy is critical. https://www.john-mckenzie-fine-art-photography.uk/

I use the Apple editor on my iPad to edit and to colour correct. There’s lots of settings and it’s so quick and can be easily used on the go. I also use ultralight app which is great for highlighting.

On my mobile I tend to use Snapseed but on computer it will be Lr/ Ps. As well as the usual (selective) white balance/ hue/ luminance/ saturation I also use selective contrast. Often the problem is only one part of a picture and global changes create other problems. You have of course missed one great option - convert to black and white and re-process, usually I increase contrast and go for punch.
