What are the best strategies for Business Architecture professionals to remain resilient during a crisis?

BAP can enhance resilience during crises by staying informed on industry trends, embracing flexible planning methodologies, integrating risk management, and engaging in scenario planning. Strong communication skills, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration are key, along with the strategic use of technology. Building a professional network, focusing on core capabilities, and developing a crisis response framework within the business architecture contribute to organizational resilience. Finally, maintaining a positive mindset and fostering a culture of adaptability and learning help professionals navigate uncertainties and position themselves as valuable contributors to strategic decision-making in challenging times.

Agility is the foundation of change . To visualise the risks, challanges and opportunity with every task within each challange is important... To have selected the team members of each departments within the company to be trained to act agile during crisis or strategic decisions making process.

Business Architecture should be iterative and value driven. In my experience, we need to focus on the business challenge or opportunity first. Start small and show results quickly. When you deliver value, then you can expand your reach. For example, identify a key area that the business is struggling and utilize business architecture toolkit to assess (e.g. business capability assessment / heatmap) and provide recommendations quickly to demonstrate value. Business Architect has the ability to connect the dots across silos, and this is a valuable insights for any organizations.

Building value to each task within each process is ongoing and mist be done..small initiatives will add to a greater value. BA is about keeping the process, resources and products aligned to objective , whilst contineouse sharpening of all of those on a disciplined manner, making business relevance felt even during a economic or market shock

To me, collaboration is not just a principle; it's a practice that involves active listening, empathetic leadership, and the willingness to adapt. With my background and skills, I lead teams not just in implementing solutions but in fostering a collaborative culture that drives sustainable change.

I think first of all, a man should learn taking care of himself because management starts right from a single individual. If one knows how to manage one's life effectively and efficiently, he/she can do anything.

I would like to add that if you apply principles of management in your own life then you can be successful person in management because individuals create a team, teams create an organisation and henceforth the company prospers.

Don’t think too highly of yourself and your opinions. By this I mean, there are too many variables for you to visualize or control. Remain flexible and fluid enough to work with other stakeholders or solution engineers, to understand and evolve. By putting yourself aside, it frees you to be part of the collective of talents required to examine and generate ideas iteratively and dynamically. Peer support increases resilience. It doesn’t hurt to say prayer either. Shared faith and wisdom together defeat panic every time.
