After checking Score of training assessment decide about rather good to put on Job training or retraining required or Will not be right fit , this Should happen in Presennce of Individual to whom we are planning to make operator or technician. 6. From first day to min 30 days keep hand to hand availability with Trainee operator or technician do discuss on each Progress.

The best strategies for building a skilled team of operators and technicians in manufacturing plant operations include: Clear job descriptions and expectations, Targeted recruitment efforts, Competitive compensation and benefits, Comprehensive training and development programs, Cross-training initiatives, Apprenticeship programs, Employee recognition and engagement, Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Prioritizing workplace safety, Establishing feedback and communication channels.

One step ahead is to have written Job Description of each position with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. the qualification and work experience required for each position is also to be mentioned.

What I have done in the past is to clearly define work levels. For example: Operator I, Operator II, Operator III, and Lead Operator. I would then identify all of the skills relevant to each title, including attendance, attitude, safety adherence, and tenure. Next, I would create skill points for each skill, and rank each operator on their skills. For a certain skill (Such as executing a setup on a specific turning center): - Level 0 - Unable to execute alone - Level 1 - EE Can execute with support from team - Level 2 - EE can execute with limited support from team - Level 3 - EE can execute with no support from team - Level 4 - EE can train others at a high level Sum up the total points, and rank your team!

Training and development is off course important. but question is how to get best training and team technical development? I prefer a coaching based to be more be effective. means one experienced trainer shall give practical coaching to ensure skill based learning and then its qualification Or evaluation based to measure training outcome with certainity..

There are a variety of ways to provide opportunities to your team. Here are a few examples: - Buy a certificate program. - Send them to a conference. - Send them to other plants to train. - Mentor, and coach them. - Bring sales reps in to work with, and teach your team. - Provide private, 1:1 career advice. - Set aside 1 hour each week to let them learn from a YouTube playlist (For example pump, or compressor repair, etc.). At any rate, investing in your team is highly motivating for them, and will create a more loyal, and productive crew. Furthermore, the business will benefit from having employees who have higher order skills, which should translate into higher uptime, and reduced problems in your plant.

If you want to build a high-performing team, you need to encourage collaboration and feedback. As an operations leader, I am constantly aware that I don't always have the best ideas, the best solutions, or right answers. However, the people on the floor who execute the work orders day after day typically have great feedback on how processes need to be in order to get the best results. In this respect, you will want to engage your floor personnel, and team leaders in collaborative discussions regarding continuous improvement. More often than not they will be happy to provide their input, as they want to contribute to a growing organization that values their input, provides a better working environment, and supports them as well.

If you want to develop skilled operators, you need to send the message that you value them. The easiest way to value your team is by listening. Listen to what their needs are, listen to their problems, and certainly listen to get to know them. In doing so, you will earn the trust of your Operators who will free free to share valuable information with you. This information can then be leveraged into building a better operating plant. Once your Operators see that you have implemented their solutions, then they will be more encouraged to continue to engage in continuous improvement, and provide more solutions. Build trust, value, and a mutually respectful environment with your employees every single day. They will reward you in return.
