The best RISK management strategy starts with PREPAREDNESS. Having the relevant stakeholders onboard will assist in identifying the most prevalent risks and opportunities in the given context. Sharing past experiences in climate related risks, effects and efficiency of the mitigation measures that were previously put into place will help come up with a very effective mitigation strategy. However, this strategy should be very cognizant of the resources needed to execute it, like funding, time etc. Extreme weather events in the southern part of Africa like heavy rains affect implementation a lot!
