This is a tough idea for some to understand, but make yourself replaceable. Teach and train others in maintaining the plant. Otherwise, your career will not progress. By training and teaching others how to do your job you will open pathways that you may not know exist. By being the only person to do a task, you are hampered by that if you want to progress in your career.
