Sometimes, you may not hear what you want but have in mind that these mentors have done things (right or wrong) before you so they have learned firsthand. When changes need to be done consult with them and listen to their pieces of advice. There is nothing worst than when a mentor has spent hours with you and you decide to either do nothing or do the opposite of what they are consulting you to do.
