Colors affect how we as people feel, giving function to the hues we choose. Red is great for retail environments but should rarely and in those cases carefully be used in most healthcare spaces. This could and should be very important and thought out wisely during the color selection phase of design.

Understanding colour wheel is a good start but if you want to get the colours right you need to get to know yourself and the people who live with you. Your idea of a perfect sitting room may be different from that of your partner or your child. There are dozens of colour harmonies and unlimited colour variations within each harmony. Discovering yourself will enable you to use colour confidently. So start with “colourful you”!
