What are the best practices for analyzing Kanban system data?

In my opinion, to master Kanban, you need to understand the 4 main Kanban metrics: - Lead Time (LT): Measures the time consumed in a task completion within the entire process workflow - Cycle Time (CT): Measures the time between when a role player starts a task and when he completes it - Work-in-progress: Measures the the volume of open tasks at any given time to balance workload and identify bottlenecks - Throughput: Measures the the number of tasks that are successfully completed within a specific time frame to quantify the resources’ productivity over that timeframe After, to choose the right one that will align your strategy/ objectives.

One of the metrics that I like to use to improve Kanban systems is the aging of work items, because when we have a Lead Time histogram and it has a long tail, that is, work items that take a long time to process, only by reviewing this metric we will know what they are, so we can pay attention to them, focus on finishing them and consequently improve the Lead Time and the efficiency of our flow.
