We use a data extraction application to gather all of our data and then match the results against our kpis and target goals. I find it very interesting looking at secondary sources of data. It's intriguing to see the variants from reading hard numbers to reading surveys and consumer feedback reports. Reliable is also an interesting term. After many years of working with algorithmic data and 'people' data I am still unclear in my mind if either alone is more impactful. If science points me east and a significant number of people data are moving west , it keeps me grounded in making adjustments in small increments rather than vesting decisions wholely one way or the other. There are just too many moving parts that effect consumer perceptions. If the science was absolutely I'd be applying it to the stock market.
