For me and in my experience coaching and developing high-performing teams, it was the weekly one-on-one meetings with both new or tenured team members. This was the once a week scheduled one-on-one time where goals were created or reviewed, challenges discussed, and where the manager or leader could truly provide value to the growth of the team member. These were always collaborative meetings. These weekly meetings showed the support that you and the organization was giving to the individual team member and in my experience made the difference between a meets expectations and exceeds expectations team member. Coaching is not a once in a while thing with a sales team. Coaching and support should be constant and collaborative.

I like to assign a task to each group member that they are responsible for educating the rest of the group on and being the “go to” for that topic. This fosters a collaborative group that become comfortable with sharing and encouraging each other.
