In my experience, a well defined IAM best practices prevents lot of security breach especially working third party vendor. When providing IAM permission to the vendors, please ensure that the following best practices are followed 1.Least privilege access followed. 2. Duration of access should be defined. 3.Scope of the access should be considered. 4. Auto expiry of access depends on third party or vendor usage. 5. Monitoring & logging should done in real time for each & every activity.
