One of my favorite was to learn as a photographer is to shoot as often as possible. Setting up styled shoots is a great way to practice your art, try new ideas, and gain confidence communicating with your subjects and handling your equipment. I try and do a creative shoot once a month to get year-long practice and to create unique pieces that help you feel confident in your images.

You have to enjoy what you do! People will tell you to find something you love and then to figure out a way to make money doing that thing. Here's the deal, though: eventually, it will still feel like work. Hopefully this isn't true every day, but there will absolutely be days where you'd rather be doing something else instead of clocking in for your dream job. You can continue to improve and grow in a variety of ways like staying curious and having personal projects that keep you excited and creative. Paying attention to new trends and techniques is important but you don't need to be inside a classroom to learn those things.
