Like any business arrangement, having the terms and conditions written down and mutually agreed to protect you and your client. I wouldn’t even consider providing coaching services without a signed agreement in place. Once in place, the actual coaching approach or any customization can be captured through a statement of work attached to the contract. In this way, future coaching programs can be added or customized under additional statements of work. This approach keeps the coach and the client fully aligned on expectations and lessens the possibilities for misunderstandings down-the-road.
