The benefits could be numerous (but not overnight, because every framework needs discipline) including cost saving, information flow & collaboration across partners, flexibility/ agility, CSAT..etc Challenges: 1. Initiative from Management, Involvement of everyone, Change Mgt. & understanding right frameworks. 2. Sustenance

In my view, there are a lot of benefits of benchmarking, some causing internal benefits (cost, efficiency etc) and others affecting external benefits (Customers). However any improvement internal or external results in improved business operations, more efficiency and productivity, lower costs of operations, effective resource utilization, cross functional alignment of objectives, compilation of clean Data for interpretation, enhanced value to end customer which ultimately results in incremental sales and better bottom line of the company. Having said that, it comes with some challenges and most important is Resistance to Change. There must be change management strategy in place before going for implementation of benchmarking.
