As a reviewer, I can see papers that just turn funny at places, use flourishing language, and slightly drift the concept, just enough to lead into hilarious misinterpretations –all well suited for a comic show! Frustration comes when trying to read a paragraph for the third time I cannot find any idea being communicated, and then I look for the …verb. I am sure that soon we’ll get perfection on science papers from AI tools. Maybe we should cite ‘chatGPT’ inside papers when we use its opinions. Or, is this really sad as while we are not training our brain to ‘generate text’ we’ll end up forgetting how to do this?

I think writing an article "in collaboration" with AI is already ethically questionable. With no guarantee how this process is going to flow, I have literally no motivation to be open, honest, or thorough. How does credit get assigned? Or worse, blame? The concept of human writing is about to change, and having mere probabilistic matching of concepts to publish articles instead of human genesis is alarming to say the least.

Absolutely agree. It is turning into a serious crisis in the world of science. AI creates a text without real innovation behind of it and with numerous bugs and deficiencies left behind.
