Being an educator for 21 years now, I realize that present times are challenging for teachers as the students come to school with minds blocked and zoned out due to excessive use of social media, andgames. Through my research and expertise I asked my teachers to be well prepared with fun activities and give research- based homework to help them clear misconceptions. Have students go through videos or resources to be able to have prior knowledge in the topic being taught and the teacher can have discussions and be a facilitator in class. This will minimize distractions and students will be more interested in order to fill their gaps in understanding. Teachers have to build a rapport that students will look forward to meet them everyday.
