I strongly agree to this for example the amount of steel connections that can be done on Tekla Connection designer is quite limited compared to IDEA StatiCa where there are so different things to try out.

100%. Most of the new softwares have so many features to help you lessen the work time required that goes unnoticed something as simple as excel has so many features it is absolutely necessary to implement proper training it could make a world of difference.
