Review capacities, current status, identify gaps and make action plans with responsibility & target dates. Review on regular intervals along with team and appreciate good work. Support weak teams

It’s all about cadence. You need to set weekly or biweekly action updates and collaboration sessions. They can be short (maybe 30-45 min) but the actions need to be done and reported on or there needs to be countermeasures put in place. Also, 1 primary project and 1 backup project is the correct project load. If your engineers have 3+ projects, then timely completion is unrealistic. I have heard of engineers with more than 12 projects all going at once. That is horribly inefficient and a very poor management practice.

In all the years I've been working on continuous improvement projects, the weekly ACI meetings are crucial in improving the cadence of projects. Your active participation in these meetings, where we monitor deliveries, steps, and struggles, is essential in delivering phase by phase and understanding what the Project Manager needs support.

If your project is moving slowly and you want to apply Lean principles, consider these strategies: - Identify Waste: Analyze the project to pinpoint areas of waste, such as overproduction, waiting times, or unnecessary tasks. - Value Stream Mapping: Create a visual representation of the workflow to understand how value flows through the process and identify bottlenecks. - Prioritize Tasks: Use techniques like the Eisenhower Matrix to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. - Cross-functional Teams: Encourage collaboration among different team members to enhance problem-solving and innovation. -. Simplify Processes: Streamline workflows to eliminate unnecessary steps and complexity.
-
A few proactive approaches that can be used are : Prioritization: This helps in aligning tasks which helps in deciding which needs immediate focus in the queue . Facilitate frequent reviews :which can help in effective feedbacks and ways of improvement. continuous improvement: Using CI practices helps in the improvement in efficiency and quality standards . Intelligent use of technology: This will touch upon everything in the project implementation -Be it project management tools/automation/data analytics or cloud platforms-A wise usage of technology significantly improves the productivity , reduces waste and ultimately improve the overall performance
