As a private tutor, I have delegated tasks to my students by assigning additional revision material for independent study that they can complete in their own time, as I would struggle to cover the whole topic in one lesson a week. Although it has lightened my workload, the crucial benefit is that it has allowed the student to develop their independent study skills and gain a broader understanding of the subject by studying the topics in more depth. This has boosted the student's academic performance and enthusiasm for the subject whilst allowing me to dedicate more time to lesson preparation and academic assessment.
