Lean and continuous improvement does not raise as simple guide creation like it can be made for procedures and work instructions just to meet an organizational methodology and standards. It is a long term agreement that must be assumed by whole collaborators, also including the top management lead in day-by-day, as part of org. culture... Of course, HR must be a kind of sponsor on this process by identifying the roles in each area to dissiminate the best practices regarding to lean culture and bring the whole team to the same level of priorities by means right recruitment and profile selection, training, consulting and results monitoring/ feedback.

It is crucial to treat HR like any other function in your teams. They should be engaged in all core activities and projects in that way from the early stages they understand the challenges and needs and can help the team deliver. Often HR I’ve only used in a reactive sense and this is a mistake always ensure HR teams have the opportunity to contribute In my experience when you do this, they are a strong force for positive outcomes and will avoid conflict later down the line on projects

Make sure you are very transparent and clear on goals and objectives across the team and share them in the early stages of goal setting for all functions including HR and operations In that way, people can see each other’s respective objectives and can understand how they can support and compliment each other not be in a conflict Then ensure you have a process for review so that everybody can review how they’re doing against objectives and whether they need to change or not
