To mediate conflicts between senior and junior staff, foster open communication, facilitate constructive dialogue, establish clear expectations, promote teamwork, provide mentorship, and address concerns promptly. These strategies can help create a harmonious work environment and improve collaboration.

I often mediate conflicts between staff specially from different departments. First, I talk to both parties individually to understand their concerns. If everything is clear and they are open to resolving the issue, I bring them together to build mutual understanding and emphasize teamwork. In some cases, separate counseling sessions or discussions over the phone work better, especially if the conflict is sensitive. I always remind them of our shared goal providing the best care for patients. Personal issues should never compromise our mission. By focusing on collaboration and the bigger picture, most conflicts are effectively resolved.

Conflict should never be the reason why a patient's care is compromised. Disruptions among healthcare staff can negatively impact care delivery, but open communication, unbiased listening, and mentorship are key to resolving issues. By encouraging collaboration and focusing on the shared goal of patient well-being, we foster respect, understanding, and teamwork—crucial elements in overcoming challenges in healthcare settings.

First, try to understand the situation from both perspectives by sitting down 1:1 with each individual with an open mind and without any pre-conceived ideas. Second encourage mutual understanding and "think outside the box" for solutions to problems starting with "quick wins". Ensure both sides are heard. Third, lead by example and create a culture among the team that not only presents problems but finds solutions together before any leadership involvement.
-
To mediate conflicts, the two parties should be called for questioning. They should be informed that there would be no form of aggression and vulgar language usage. Open communication should be enclosed and individuals should not be judged wrongly. There should be clear rules and proper resolution
