When proposing a new layout design to stakeholders, I handle potential conflicts by prioritizing clear communication and inclusive collaboration. I prepare a comprehensive presentation that highlights the benefits and addresses potential concerns, ensuring all stakeholders understand the rationale behind the design. I facilitate open discussions, creating a space for stakeholders to voice their opinions and provide constructive feedback. Throughout the process, I remain flexible and open to adjustments, demonstrating a willingness to incorporate valid suggestions to gain broader support and achieve a consensus that aligns with the project's objectives while addressing stakeholders' concerns.

Preparing the presentation, preparing the rationale for the design- why it will work. advantages, savings, etc. Open discussion and noting the conflicts. The key is to find the balance, not to dive into endless discussions that paralyse final decision making and launching of a new design. There always will be stakeholders who will never be happy or fully agree,

Anticipate Concerns: Before the presentation, identify potential pain points or objections stakeholders might have. Prepare data, rationale, and solutions to address these concerns. Align with Goals: Ensure the design aligns with the stakeholders’ business objectives, user needs, and project goals. Be ready to explain how the design supports these priorities. Gather Evidence: Use data, user research, and case studies to back up your design decisions. This helps ground the discussion in facts rather than opinions.

Invilve the stakeholders/ users in the creation and building the new layout. No words . See this being done on You tube (1983) under 'Sid's heroes.'

The best strategy is always to present it in a pleasant way, simplifying it and making it easy to understand for stoknolders.
