It is very important to have a safety induction programme for new hires, this programme must include awareness about the company HSE policy, stop work authority, driving policy, what to do in case of emergencies, call out chart for emergency reporting, PTW system, PPE, hazardous areas, and general environmental tips. In addition to a more detailed programme for the safe working procedures of the specific job or activity the technician will perform, and the hazards and controls that they have to consider related to the job and the workplace. This induction should be documented and signed by the technician to ensure his commitment and by the responsible safety officer/ advisor.

Por mais experientes que sejam os novos técnicos, conhecer os procedimentos e práticas da empresa a qual est?o sendo inseridos, é de suma importancia. O "saber fazer" já é prática. Agora é entender o "como fazer nesta empresa". Conhecer as políticas, regras, práticas, é essencial. Ter uma mentoria experiente também faz diferen?a. Perguntar nunca será coisa absurda. Na dúvida, pergunte. Pergunte, anote, estude. Já o mentor, precisa trabalhar a escuta ativa, e demonstrar conhecimento e humildade para os novos colaboradores. Os treinamentos, seguindo os padr?es da empresa e normativas, trazendo vivências do dia a dia, pois assim fica muito mais fácil assimilar, principalmente quando você é novo de empresa.

For new joiners at least there should be a proper briefing of work, Explain them their do's & don't at work place. Also managers should provide them with a good mentor, as long as new technicians are giving output alone. He should give proper training in supervision and should attend his work in the same supervision for a period of time. Also after the technician started working well in all area's, the supervisor should brief them regularly and show them the danger area's and his experience with the workplace and equipments. Almost all sites and workplace are running with some up's and down's, so new technicians should have knowledge of workplace, when they are allowed to work alone with proper PPE.
