Keeping up with the digital platforms is an entire job! I must admit that it can be tiring especially when you have just mastered one and suddenly there is an emerging one that you need to jump on. This is our world now and we just have to ensure we are not left out in the cold. Make it your duty to learn which platform works for your brand. Importantly, you want to know where your target audience is mostly hanging out so you can reach them effectively. Learning the platforms will help with your content strategy, because different formats are needed. Sometimes different formats can help impact the theme of your content. It might be more effective to produce certain topics in the vertical format as oppose to square. Stay up to speed.

However, I maintain that technology is there to enhance our lives in every way. Therefore creators should try to find the tools that can help them elevate their content. It is already a heavy task to do content calendars, audit, write scripts, plan engagement strategies and the list goes on. We should try to find the areas of our creation process that AI can help to lessen our loads. AI on its own cannot work, it needs our intelligence to be effective. We still have to edit and add our human touches, but, it is good help. Let's embrace AI like a partnership!

Time to flip the script! As it relates Media production in the digital space, constant learning is a necessity. We have to constantly up-skill so as to ensure that we survive. It might even require you to step outside of your comfort zone to be on camera or do an audio recording. Therefore, you have to be constantly learning and developing your skillset, to ensure that you can stay on trends and the new waves. With the different platforms, you need new insights and knowledge. This might also mean that you must un-learn some of the practices that have served you over the years. Things to consider: Learn to be adaptable Ask questions Seek feedback and always be willing to flip the script!

If you're diving into media production, remember to keep things flexible, stay curious, and never stop learning. To date myself, I started my career with 35mm film, and a bunch of what I learned is pretty much obsolete now. So, my two cents: say yes to new opportunities, stay curious, and keep learning (from production equipment to management tools or otherwise). And have fun!
