To overcome self-doubt, stay focused on your vision and trust your skills. Keep learning and seek advice from mentors. Communicate openly with your team and stay positive. Break big challenges into small steps. Believe in progress, not perfection, and keep moving forward with confidence. #ahmedalaali11

For me the first step in overcoming self doubt is prayer. As a man of faith, I know that I sometimes need more than my own confidence at work in my life. Connecting with God in prayer allows me to tap into a divine power source that supersedes my own limitations. The next step for me is anchoring back into my "why." When I anchor back into my reason for doing the things I do, I find it easy to tap into those hidden reserves of confidence and strength. Remembering the reasons for entering the struggle provide the motivation for moving forward. Finally, I reflect on previous difficult season where I was able to lead successfully. I use the past victories as motivational fuel to press forward.

Trust in your vision and skills NOT others or close advisors! Advisors are necessary and incredibly important for success. In uncertain times, it is pivotal for a leader to isolate the signal from the noise and lead decision-making according to their faculties. This is designed to leave very little room for self-doubt. Self-doubt is best conquered through reflection of previous achievements, introspection of internal motivations and clouding emotions, and prayer or meditation for spiritual support. I always remember that uncertainty is a lot of fun in and of itself, so enjoy it! "Although our intellect always longs for clarity and certainty, our nature often finds uncertainty fascinating." -- Carl von Clausewitz (Vom Kriege)

I remind myself that uncertainty is part of leadership. I focus on what I can control, communicate openly with my team, and make decisions with the best information available. Self-doubt fades when I trust my instincts, stay adaptable, and keep moving forward, because leadership isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about navigating change with confidence.

One thing I’ve learned is that nobody knows everything all the time. Our job is to figure out small things one at a time and build from there. Knowing one small thing is never too hard, and in difficult times, success comes from piecing together many small things. Over time, those small wins add up, create real progress and build confidence.
