How often should you give feedback to your team?

Feedback is a constant process. In case of individual, feedback should be given regularly in what went well and what could have been done better and document the latter and evaluate progress and course correct. In terms of a group assignment, overall feedback to the group should also be documented as soon as the project is completed or at each toll gate of the project for optimum results

Feedback mechanism is a way of building trust and motivation. It allows acknowledgement of the achievements thereby leading to motivation and also helps in understanding any gaps that are there which ultimately shows the way to grow and learn new things.

Learning and improvement is an integral part of any growth. For growth, it’s vital to receive timely and correct feedbacks.

There is no specific rule dictating the frequency of feedback. However, feedback becomes most effective when: - It is provided in a timely manner. - The frequency and method should be tailored to your team's dynamics, accommodating either a formal or informal approach

Feedback mechanisms should be followed at regular time intervals so as to understand the growth path and accordingly take corrective measures, if needed, without any delays. Also appraisal of the work at regular time intervals helps in motivating and thereby delivery of good work.

Time and periodicity is of paramount importance, few occasions: 1. Any change observed that may affect the larger entity. 2. Changes observed in individuals which shall hamper their functioning. 3. Monthly, bi-monthly as decided.

I give feedback as often as possible. Even "thank you, well done" is a form of feedback which can be given daily and don't cost you anything.

Feedback does not always have to be oral or written. Non-verbal feedback such as a smile, an appreciative nod, applause, certain gestures, or facial expressions can act as positive reinforcement. At the workplace, it is important to follow the ACE method of giving constructive feedback. This means to Appreciate, Coach, and Evaluate. Appreciate what is well done; Coach employees or team members to help expand their skills and competencies wherever required; and finally, evaluate or assess if their performance meets the expectations.

Feedback culture is something which can be implemented in any and every field. Feedback helps in building a learning culture. Everyone can learn from one another's feedback and it also helps in developing a positive culture of connection between the team and Managers.
