Yet another bad question from LI and Microsoft. ORM (Object Relational Modeling) has nothing to do with distributed systems. They are orthogonal topics. Your object in your app/program is local to a single instance running on a single cpu core. How and where it is persisted is immaterial. There is a single thread that connects to the persistence layer which will determine where its stored. So an MPP or distributed database or object store will abstract/obfuscate the underlying storage. You don't care if the storage is a single server or a distributed system. Take these questions with a grain of salt. But seriously... they are sooo wrong its almost comical.
