For example, fintech companies can use blockchain, artificial intelligence, and big data to streamline and automate the verification, settlement, and reporting of transactions, reducing the need for intermediaries and fees. Fintech can also create new markets and opportunities for investors and borrowers, bypassing the traditional gatekeepers of investment banking. For example, fintech companies can enable peer-to-peer lending, crowdfunding, and robo-advisory, democratizing access to capital and financial advice.

I see Fintech as both a challenge and an opportunity. Fintech's agile use of technologies like AI and blockchain is revolutionizing traditional tasks like due diligence, making them faster and cheaper. This directly challenges IB’s traditional revenue models and client relationships. Yet, it's not all about competition. Fintech is opening new avenues like peer-to-peer lending, which were previously inaccessible. This democratization of finance is reshaping the industry's landscape. I believe properly embracing fintech's innovations can actually enhance IB services, making IB more efficient and client-friendly. The ability to integrate these changes and working with Fintech may be be the deciding factor for continued relevance and success.
