How do you use technology to develop products?

In B2B, I've seen the tendency to first wait for the product to be 'done-done' before launching it to customers. I'd like to actually encourage the "fail-fast" methodology in B2B too - where we develop a new product feature incrementally, go back to our customers and ask them for input, then go back, adapt, and continue with next steps to bringing that product feature to maturity. Another thing I feel is not done enough in B2B is continuous improvement of existing products - for example, pick one existing product a quarter and give it some love. Put together small customer requests, technical and UX improvements and launch that as a touch to make your customer base happier.

Using PLM ( Product Lifecycle Management) tools are very helpful in tracking this. I've used many PLM tools and it been very effective in streamlining the product development process. There are other features like Change Management, Quality Management, and Compliance Management that are also available in your PLM arsenal and is something you can use to better manage your product's lifecycle. Before moving forward to production, it's also advisable to use PLM so you can have a centralized documentation and single point of truth. This avoid confusion when you have released multiple revisions.

Platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams can facilitate quick conversations, while tools like Jira can handle ticketing and project management. I also love Miro when needing a more visual collaboration.

Perfectionistic teams fear failure, leading to stress and anxiety. They become demoralized when they fall short, and can be preoccupied with fears of failure and disapproval.
