How do you use feedback from research partners?

My current national-level Malaysian problem is one that has been ongoing for decades. The problem is to do with our NEET Youth - Youth who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training. They survive on a day-to-day basis and do not contribute to Nation to Building. There has never been a real challenge and feedback session to examine and build a possible Hypothesis and perhaps even the development of a Research question so that the solution will actually address the roots of the problem of NEET Youth, in the Malaysian context. So the team is working in multiple directions often at odds with each other. We are not even considering the 5W's and the H. Feedback is the core start of all research that builds knowledge and solutions.

In my experience, as far as the research management is concerned, Feedback never works and should be avoided as possible. In research management, feedforward and critical reviews are most important ones. ? Feedforward: that gives future-oriented solutions and ? Critical reviews on your publications: that challenges your hypothesis, your research methods etc., In research management, feedback practice (in some culture) creates an atmosphere, whereby the researchers tend to hide the experiment failure or creates a toxic environment especially when researchers are from different reputed institution or calibre

We must also always keep in mind that when looking for feedback, especially for a formal Research Question, the audience we are engaging with would out of necessity, be experts in their fields. When we start the engagement by placing limitations on the type of feedback that is "allowed' most experts would be put off. So, when we decide Who we want to get feedback from, we should also be prepared to hear the 360 of the feedback. Anything else would be seen as arrogant. Why even bother engaging to get feedback if we are so confident about specific aspects that we do not want complete feedback, but instead only as we see fit? If we want feedback, allow a free hand. That's the point.

The most efficient way around the handling of feedback is to conduct a real-time Delphi, also known as an RTD. An RTD is a quantified, transparent, and almost real-time method of inviting feedback from experts and stakeholders and allowing everyone to consider each other's views and opinions. Everyone can then reconsider their opinions, or not, and propose alternatives. An RTD is the best quantified and ranked feedback methodology to gather feedback on every topic from the simplest to the most complex.

Part of developing the most relevant, actionable, double-blind, quantified Survey Instrument, one that does not change the opinions of the responders when exposed to the instrument, is to also develop a powerful measurement and tracking system, preferably a live, real-time one that enables every stakeholder to view results and progress at their individual timings.
