Each item of content has associated info that is needed. You can mix and match sections as needed for different content types.

Just like you would review product plans or business plans, you need to review your content plan and the content's performance. It can be tricky to have a regular cadence though, as some content may inspire immediate action and other content may be part of building a long-term relationship that is formed before action is taken. One idea to manage that is have a regular review of content related to a specific goal, for example, sales or CTRs.
