The best way for me to learn and remeber is through VISUAL & BEING OBSERVANT. My memory power is enhanced far better by seeing a video than reading a write-up. Yes, after that, a podcast of how people are handling the new software and what glitches are experienced and how are those glitches tackeled especially when In-flight. The other way I prefer to keep myself updated is through the aircraft manufacturers website, being in communication with the tech staff (if possible) and upcoming changes and upgrades of the next and new version of the aircraft type. In addition to all the above, What I have found to be more realistic and rewarding is treating the airline employees as family members, giving them both the moral and material appreciation they deserve. This will give you the best feedback loop; live, continuous, true and applicable to your specific airline. End user employees face your customers directly, they hear their complaints, suggestions and appreciations. Once those employees feel part of a family, they would care enough to either take the initiative on their own to resolve matters on the spot, take the extra step which they are not paid for, and if they can’t do anything, they would at least raise the issue to you, believing that this is their family owned business.
