When you meet with stakeholders (ex. library board members, outside vendors, local schools, authors, etc.), active listening is essential. Be present, and pay close attention to each party's communication style, their goals, and their level of awareness of your job function. To set your relationship on the right footing, make sure you understand 'what's in it for them' and how they best take in information before you adapt to them.

Aunque suene muy básico lo primero es mantener una organización básica en papel de todos los documentos que certifican nuestras habilidades (certificados de trabajo, o de cursos, títulos oficiales) Tenerlo todo a mano y clasificado por cursos, y orden cronológico facilitará buscarlos cuando lo necesitemos. Es importante tener separadas las copias, de los originales y siempre tener digitalizado todos los títulos. Por ejemplo, una carpeta para cada tema: idiomas, cursos, títulos oficiales.

Desde mi punto de vista, me ha resultado útil la creación de un portafolio en Drive, en el cual guardo todas mis certificaciones de cursos realizados. También tengo conmigo una copia en papel de dichos documentos por si surgiera la oportunidad de presentarlo en proyectos o concursos laborales.

Una forma de acercamiento que me ha resultado útil es el diálogo con otros colegas bibliotecólogos sobre las diferentes experiencias en cada biblioteca. LinkedIn y ChatGTP últimamente se han vuelto mis aliadas para expandir mi experiencia y darla a conocer a más profesionales con la esperanza de obtener, a corto corto plazo, una oferta laboral que permita desarrollarme no sólo a nivel profesional, sino también personal.

Respecto a cómo podemos fomentar la retroalimentación para mejorar las habilidades, se usarían varias formas: 1. Hablar con el compa?ero que más experiencia tiene. Esto nos dará herramientas que desconocemos. Se puede usar el correo electrónico, el teléfono o el whatsapp. Además del tiempo que se comparte en la oficina. 2. Las redes sociales son un buen punto de partida para conocer qué se hace en otras bibliotecas, y poder entablar conversación para mejorar nuestros servicios y nuestras habilidades. Las oportunidades de mejora también están a la hora de realizar cursos. En mi caso yo utilizo Linkedin, Facebook y webs de SEDIC, Asociación Andaluza de Bibliotecarios, e incluso IWETEL.
