The only thing I would add into this, in order to fully have as much information as possible, is to actually speak to anyone that was enrolled in the benefit directly. This allows for real life stories and examples, in addition to the different analysis results, in order to determine the full value.

Communicating benefits outcomes requires all benefits data be presented in a way that is engaging and where stakeholders can access and see it in real time. Creating a whiteboard with optimal collaboration capabilities can facilitate this quite well. Being able to work along with other stakeholders at the same time can create a space for feedback, suggestions, and acknowledgements of what has worked and what needs improvement.

In my experience, if we were changing the benefit plan, then this was something that we would allow various forms of employee participation, in order to address any questions, or one offs that they may have. For example, we would send out materials regarding the changes, via email, and also mailed to their home. Then, I would have multiple WebEx sessions, for them to interact with a live specialist or subject matter experts available, to answer any questions on the spot. This allows them to make the best choice for them and their family, because they’re confident that they have received the answer to all of the questions, that are specific to them and their family.
