When it comes to most information, I tend to keep a tight grip. This helps especially if I am unsure. I have three category's of information; Public, company, and need to know basis. With public information, people outside the company will know certain things. It is not my job to confirm nor deny information. However can be helpful to determine next steps on big projects. With company information, its usually ok to discuss with colleges. It's helpful to discuss to get a flow of fresh ideas and input. There is still trust with the individual. Need to know is in the title. Its information you only disclose with people who absolutely need the information to do their job. This is especially important to safe guard.
