How do you refine your creative and innovative voice?

Three key ideas, in my experiece, in regarding Creativity and knowing your purpose. ??Creative Purpose: Having a clear creative purpose provides direction for your creativity. Without it, creativity can be aimless. A creative purpose gives focus and motivation, making your work meaningful and fulfilling. ??Collaboration and Diverse Perspectives: Innovation thrives when diverse minds collaborate. It’s not about individual ideas but collective effort. Teams experimenting, learning, and co-creating lead to breakthroughs. ??Problem Definition: Effective innovation starts with well-defined problems. Gather relevant information, brainstorm solutions, and engage your team. Remember, innovation often emerges from precisely defined challenges.

Undoubtedly, our content has a profound impact on our audience, so we must be very clear about why and why we generate it. Do we want to help others? do we want to make the world a better place?

Three key pooints I have found usefull for inspiration. ??Diverse Inputs: Immerse yourself in a variety of content—books, articles, podcasts, videos, and courses. Seek out different perspectives and explore topics beyond your usual interests. Exposure to diverse ideas sparks creativity. ??Engage with Peers and Mentors: Connect with others who share your passion. Collaborate, discuss, and learn from their experiences. Mentors and peers provide fresh insights and encouragement. ??Personal Projects and Hobbies: Pursue side projects and hobbies. They offer a playground for experimentation and self-expression. Your personal interests can fuel your creative fire.

Para inspirarte se tú mismo: busca dentro de ti, busca en tus vivencias, en tus sentimientos, en tus emociones; asi como tambien puedes encontrar inspiracion en tu entorno.

Refinement of your creative voice requires disciplined introspection of your work and processes. Analyze your successes and failures and learn from what worked and what didn't. Obviously, the wins are easier to reflect on, but you can learn a lot about yourself by taking a hard look at the fails. You don't have to beat yourself up, but just look at them objectively. WHAT went wrong should be obvious, but it's the WHY and HOW that will help you grow. It's basically reverse engineering the mistakes to discover root causes. Taking the time to reflect on your basic tendencies creates a strong foundation to grow on.

Social media has given us a sense that everything has to be meticulously perfect and planned, and that applies to your personal brand and creative voice too. It takes time to find your niche and your voice, and that's okay! As we grow, we become more experienced people and I think there is a sense of accomplishment in seeing how you can define yourself over time. I personally struggle with this too, but we should worry less about our having a cohesive storyline all the time and enjoy the different chapters we create as we go!

The GOLDEN RULE TO UNLEASH CREATIVITY is to START POSTPONING YOUR JUDGMENT. In my experience as facilitator of innovation teams you can balance creativity and constraints in a perfect way following these three simple steps: 1. Draft an innovation assignment in which you state all the goals, all the constraints and all the criteria the new solutions have to meet. 2. Diverge by drafting a brainstorm assignment in the form of a “How can we …” question, and start brainstorming postponing your judgement, ignoring all constraints. 3. Converge by selecting the best solutions fitting all the constraints, and work them out as concepts, pretotypes and new business cases. Following these steps will make you an amazing innovator.
