This should be the norm, also checking the devices and the apps you allowed access from is a secondary important point,,, although soft tokens app and authenticator should facilitate backup auth method like MS auth do for more reliability, yet i faced an issue with backing up the push auth and password-less auth accounts, hope this disappears in the future,, Also soft and hard tokens in general are the powerful in authentication mechanisms over than mail, txt etc..

My recommendation - use passwords even you don't know. In other words, use a password manager like 1Password, Bitwarden or the recently released ProtonPass to create complex and unique passwords for all your accounts. Where possible, use MFA and/or biometrics (like TouchID) or security keys (YubiKey) to access the password manager.
