One of the best sources are people you work with currently! Who do you admire? What leaders do you love? Outside your organization: Get involved and participate. It doesn't work to send a stranger a "Will you mentor me?" message? I get dozens of these each day, and can't possibly respond to them. But I can respond to comments that are meaningful in my posts about specific aspects of business analysis! Start participating and asking specific questions in a community. Nurturing your network and expanding it is about engaging and participating in a manner that shows you can be part of the community, not just ask generic questions for help.
