How do you motivate your F&B staff during peak hours?

- Actually I disagree that would work on everyone's performance. Setting a clear path and highlighting final expectations from your staff won't necessarily bring out the perfect results, unless they are on the floor as just coded machines. Lead them by a common sense objective and let them free with a purpose , That is maintaining the high standard mindset.

Well said! Just to add one more point, in peak hours be sure to be infront. You always make them feel that you are infront of them in this service, motivate them by making them feel guided along the way, empowered and supported. After all, we are one mechanism.

Training, adding new skills and knowledge to any frontier in hospitality, specially Food & Beverage , is just one side of the coin. What makes anyone's path into his/her peak at all time, is simply " LOVE OF THE GAME ". That's the bulb that a perfect leader should turn on in everyone's heart. If you do so , then it defines the other shinning side of the coin. No matter if it comes to head or tale , its always a winner.

I believe in rewards and Incentives that are often detached from the data driven results. Although that's an important factor to evaluate anyone's performance, it does not measure an individual drive or force. That's the role of an expert leader and a precise observer to gratitude the unseen/hidden service warriors.

All activities that unites a team is a perfect way to flourish productivity. Not All activities that increases the productivity, necessarily unites !! As a Leader , Be mindful & be the force of all , binding them into a single uniformed team.

Its always helpful to empower and invest in your team's involvement. They are the ones that deliver the service . Make them involved frequently and use their bright momentarily or long term ideas .. make them valued as much as possible .. however , don't ever forget there are times that a plane needs a pilot to take off or land , also the auto flight function is not designed for all weather conditions.

As on everyday bases their must be balanced team with good leader. Where everyone must be briefed about their role and contact person in case of any confusion . If you have delivered a good briefing their nothing much left .
