I’ve read some many studies about how much better EV’s are, but I always feel they are unrealistic and totally dependent on the individual use case. The battery performance is without the biggest draw back to EV’s, to enable total efficiency you have to run the car at its fundamental basics, so no radio, heated seat, AC etc. EV have a place in society but they cannot completely replace the ICE, what we need to focus on is alternative fuel sources for ICE vehicles such as hydrogen or biofuels, which offer a more realistic and reliable source of efficient transportation. Which is proven by some of the largest vehicles manufacturers in the world putting more resources into this category of R&D

They are not that much cheaper to run that LPG, CNG & Diesel vehicles today. But they are at least 2x the cost compared to those ICE vehicles. And most people dont have a parking space with electricity to plug every day. So the total cost to own an EV is actually much more expensive. We need 800+km range 20-25k€ EVs to become available in the mass market, and the charging infrastructure to become as common as gas stations, and as easy to operate and pay as gas stations.
