I would like to add that if the business nature is a bit more sensitive and usually the changes in software are managed by IT department, do your best to follow the policy and don't install, uninstall any software, unless authorised. Furthermore, if you are dealing with high volumes of emails, don't access any links or files attached, from anyone outside your organisation or adress book. Flag the suspicious messages and forward them to the relevant people.

Looking at your file system and locating where you install (or download and then install) is important. Placing a launch icon where you view program is key...can you find it on your desktop or is it covered in files? if so, install with an icon on your taskbar.

If you are in an enterprise this is out of your hands. You should not have the ability to install anything. This will vary for smaller environments, however if your systems are to remain secure they need to be locked down. If you need a specific piece of software for your job, IT will evaluate it and install it for you.

One thing I have recently started doing Is using chat gpt to teach me advanced excel. As well as project management techniques. The result is often a bullet point list of instructions followed by an explanation of how you reach the desired effect. It's wise to note v4 of cht gpt only has knowledge up to 2021 so won't know the most up to date features. But it has accelerated my learning quite well.
