There are of course the subtle items that should also be taken care of: Explaining the benefit of the objective, how it ties to the company's success and also seeking buy in. But those are the more obvious actions.

If your starting point is a gross profit level of 50% and your factory workers help reduce your cost of goods sold so you now have 52% GPM, and that 2% represents $100k, then give them 10% of that growth in the form of a party, bonus, trip or something of value to them. If your back office people can take actions to reduce your variable overhead then do something for them. In essence let people share in the growth of the company in the area that they impact the P&L.
