Actually I disagree with the idea of there is nothing to change. there is always changes even all stakeholders are agreed and Scope is Cleared. It is Very Important to have a good Plans of Communications and stakeholders to be able to follow changes if had to be Done. We should never forget that Projects are Unique and the principle of Progressive Elaboration is a master.

I guess everyone reading this is familiar with the S-curve of a project. At our soon after project creation, decisions taken are, of course, vital, to avoid cost blow-out, but, as everyone knows, stuff happens. So the project communication system is vital. Nowadays, there are multiple options to manage projects.

Managing the budget in construction project is vital . 1- So the manpower and materials loaded schedule is step 1. 2- work break down structure will help you to devide the work in to smaller work packages. 3- each work package cost has to be calculated e.g .manpower, Equipments, materials, sub-contractors, overheads. 4- gother the work packages in a report book call it cost to complete. 4- monitor progress accordingly and at the end of each month update this book and find the cost variance negative or positive, for each ongoing workpackage, and report to company. 5- above process will continue till the end of works, then you will create cost at completion report giving you the exact cost with the variance if any.

Ensure you have an accurate and fully resourced programme, which is up-to-date on a daily or as a minimum weekly basis. The programme is the hub of a contract, advising you of what has been done, what there is yet to do, your constraints etc. The procurement of materials can be planned using this, particularly to draw down on orders and plan stocking on site. Everyone involved in the works, client, contractor and subcontractors have all the information needed, seeing where progress is against time, and thereby costs.

Creat a clear budget and cost control tools to measure were you are standing every month you may call it cost to complete report. To be updated on monthly basis and see the variance against budget. At the end of project creat a tool called cost at completion it will keep you correctly posted about the actual construction cost vs budget.

Siempre lo mas importante y el origen de todo lo que sucederá a continuación es definir claramente el alcance del proyecto. A partir de este punto se empieza a generar el presupuesto, no al revés. Personalmente veo al proyecto como un partido de golf; siempre son dieciocho hoyos, la diferencia entre los que juegan es la cantidad de golpes que dan para lograr el objetivo. De esta visión surge una verdad inquietante pero que conviene no olvidar: hay una y solo una manera óptima de construir un edificio, pero hay infinitas formas de hacerlo mas lentamente y gastando mas dinero.
