One of the best resources to learn SQL for beginners is W3schools. It provides easy and short definitions of every function, provides examples and gives you opportunity to exercise with your code as well. It's also great because it's not focused only in SQL, after you finish with SQL you can start learning python or any other programming languages. In terms of advanced SQL - the most helpful way to learn is to exercise as much as possible and even get to work with SQL as the experience will teach the most.
