1 SWOT analysis

In my experience, integrating SWOT analysis with the Balanced Scorecard involves mapping Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats to the Scorecard's four perspectives: Financial, Customer, Internal Process, and Learning and Growth. Each SWOT element should align with corresponding strategic objectives on the Scorecard, providing a holistic view of strategic performance for informed decision-making.

2 Porter's five forces

Porter's five forces is a framework that helps you analyze the competitive forces that shape your industry and market. The five forces are: the threat of new entrants, the bargaining power of suppliers, the bargaining power of buyers, the threat of substitute products or services, and the intensity of rivalry among existing competitors. You can use Porter's five forces to evaluate your competitive position and identify your sources of competitive advantage or disadvantage. In my view, integrating Porter's Five Forces analysis with the Balanced Scorecard involves identifying and categorizing factors from the Five Forces (Industry Rivalry, Threat of New Entrants, Threat of Substitutes, Bargaining Power of Suppliers, and Bargaining Power of Buyers) into the Scorecard's four perspectives: Financial, Customer, Internal Process, and Learning and Growth. For instance, the bargaining power of buyers could impact the Customer perspective, while the threat of new entrants might influence strategic objectives under the Financial perspective. By doing so, you can align these industry-related forces with organizational strategic objectives, ensuring a balanced approach to both competitive and performance-based strategy.

Power is in the picture. Repurpose the data for more impact. Once you have all the data convert it into a clear and concise graphic. Colors makes it attractive, data makes it purposeful and big title tell people what they are looking at. Visual learners will appreciate the effort and will gain more interaction and engagement. Non visual learners will still stop an look since it literally takes up more space on a page. If you are posting this on a website a small gif, or movement on the graphic will also draw attention.
