How do you import data from Excel or CSV files into QGIS?

I have used QGIS to import filtered XYZ (ground) data into QGIS. The input data file should have headers for each columns. In QGIS you will import the file as a new layer under the option "Add delimited Text". Once the file is loaded you will assign the X, Y, ad Z coordinate to its proper column. After processing (fraction of a second), all the points will be plotted on the map.

Make sure the headers on your csv are spelled out clearly to automatically get QGIS to recognize your coordinates,. For example, make the title of your header something like this: ‘lat’, ‘long’, ‘latitude’ or ‘longitude’. Data you find on the web may not use these terms. If that is case you can simply point the dialogue box to the right columns by manually selecting it.

When dealing with a data model that contains a large number of objects, such as tens of thousands of well locations in CSV format with attributes, it is often beneficial to convert it into a geopackage format using Python script. This helps to improve performance when browsing and conducting quality control on the large table, as it can be done more efficiently using a DB viewer with SQL scripts rather than Excel. The QGIS natively support geopackage format, so not data loading is required. We majorly use QGIS for Coordinate Reference System QC, by overlapping the satellite image layer (like Google Satellite), this workflow allow QC for bulk data points possible.

If your data includes geometry information (e.g., points, lines, or polygons), you can add it as a vector layer. Follow similar steps as above, but instead of selecting "Add Delimited Text Layer", choose "Add Vector Layer". Navigate to your Excel or CSV file and select it. QGIS will prompt you to specify the type of geometry and the column containing the geometry information. Once you've configured the settings, click "Add" to import your data as a vector layer.

Data cleaning: Ensure that your data is clean and free from errors or inconsistencies before importing it into QGIS. This includes checking for missing values, invalid geometries, and duplicate entries. Coordinate reference system (CRS): Make sure that the CRS of your data is correctly specified to ensure accurate spatial analysis and visualization in QGIS.

é possível fazer essa tarefa, através do gerenciador de fonte de dados, camda virtual, escolher um nome para a camada, no bot?o adicionar, navegar até o diretório onde está o arquivo excel ou csv, no campo consulta escolher os campos para espacializar a tabela, algo do tipo (Select id, make_point("leste", "norte") as geometry from pontos). Escolher o SRC e o tipo de geometria, em seguida adicionar. E estará feito.
